
This article reminded me of the first and only yoga class I ever took, a couple of months after my husband died. I was feeling particularly overwhelmed and I'd heard that yoga was supposed to be very calming and stress-reducing. I have to admit, I did find that to be the case, and I left each session feeling as if I'd done something beneficial for myself. I intend to resume yoga classes when time and finances permit, to help my aging body remain flexible and strong without putting undue pressure on the joints.
